Where are you located?

Originally from Livermore CA, we are now based in Fremont, and service the entire Bay Area and nearby areas of the Central Valley. We perform all of our work in your backyard, so we have no retail outlet nor office that receives clients.

What’s with your company name?

Ken and Don Black started building pools in 1978 to finance their way through college. At first, as starving college students, we didn’t have the $20 needed to file a fictitious name statement, so we needed to register our names in the business name. Ken & Don’s sounded too informal, so we went with Black & Black. It sounded more like a law firm, but the price was right. After a couple of years we considered changing to a better name, but found that we had an invaluable reputation throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley. So the name stuck.
